As we grow older, we tend to face new and many challenges as we come to our adulthood. We will all face challenges along our way. This is the reality that nobody can ever avoid or stop.
When we were young, we do not have any problems but only to get the food that we want or be in the palm of our parents, always. But as we grow older every year, we learn and discover new and different things. We tend to have our own perspective in life. As we learn along our journey, it impacts how we respond, react, and decide on everything that is happening to us.
Is there a person that had never been in a challenging circumstance?
Every person has its own story – a story of brokenness, sickness, pain, death, trauma, addiction, anxiety, depression, and many more. We have an everyday battle within our minds and hearts. In every battle that we take, we only want triumph on it. That is why people are suffering from different painful situations because they want to win it, but the journey was so hard for them.
The need for help is increasing every day, as many people are hiding inside what they are going through. There are fake smiles of people on the outside, with a shout of help on the inside. There is laugh shared with others but crying when left alone in the corner. We do not know each person’s story, even if the person closest to our heart. That is why listening is so important.
Why do you think listening is so important to those who struggle?
When a person who is struggling felt that someone is listening to him, he felt someone care for him. It is because the one who listens opens the heart of a person’s struggles. It is like a key to the life that is locked in pain. That is why there are people who are going through counselling in Australia.
Today, counselling has been doing around the world, as the population of people who have anxiety and depression increases. The act of counselling is very important for people who need support. The help of the counsellors can change a person’s life. They are professionals who are trained to counsel people. They are trained to help others on what they are going through; they determine the root cause; they assess people, assess people’s behavior, and they focus on the healing process.
At the end of the day, we know that having challenges are inevitable. They are part of a persons’ growth and development as a person. They are part of each person’s beautiful story of triumph.
